F1 Star Lando Norris Richard Mille Watch Stolen at Wembley Euros

The British Formula One driver Lando Norris was mugged after attending the Euro 2020 soccer final between England and Italy at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, his McLaren team said.

The team added in a statement the 21-year-old had his watch stolen.

“Thankfully, Lando was unharmed but he is understandably shaken,” the team added.

“The team is supporting Lando and we are sure that racing fans will join us in wishing him all the best for the British Grand Prix this weekend.

“As this is now a police matter we cannot comment further,” it added.

British media reported the watch was worth at least £40,000 and was taken as he approached his McLaren sports car.

Norris is friendly with several of the England players who lost the final on penalties after extra time ended 1-1.

The driver is fourth in the championship and has been on the podium three times so far this season.

Police made 53 arrests at Wembley Stadium after supporters clashed with each other and officials, breached security cordons and charged into the perimeter area before the start of the match.

Rising star

His career has been going well but Lando Norris has cautioned recently

against soaring expectations for his home British Grand Prix.

This comes after putting McLaren back on the Formula One podium in Austria on Sunday.

For the third time this season the 21-year-old finished third, after starting on the front row for the first time in his career, and was voted driver of the day by fans.

Mercedes-powered McLaren are also third in the constructors’ championship, ahead of Ferrari, and Silverstone is next up with a crowd of about 140,000 expected on race day as Covid-19 restrictions are eased.

“The annoying thing is so many people are going to expect this every weekend now,” Norris told Sky Sports television after the race at the Red Bull Ring.

“I’m not getting too giddy because I know we’re going to go to Silverstone and it’s probably going to be a little more like back to normality.”

YouTuber

Lando is also a avid gamer and has a YouTube channel under the name “Lando Norris plays” where he plays F1 simulator games for his fans when not training for real races.

Wishing him all the best tin the future and be safe
