Small Heath shooting: no one injured but two in car at time

GUN FIRED AT A CAR: SMALL HEATH

West Midlands Police statement say’s they are investigating after a gun was fired at a car on Herbert Road, Small Heath last night (12 December).It happened at around 7.15pm. Two people were in the car at the time but thankfully no one was injured.It’s understood that occupants of another car and a van were involved in the shooting. We’re doing everything we can to find the vehicles and the people responsible.We cordoned off the scene for a forensic examination and enquiries are underway.Detective Inspector Michelle Cordell from force CID said: “I understand that incidents like this are very scary and cause lots of concern for local people, especially when no arrests have been made. I want to reassure people that we’ve got multiple officers working on this investigation right now.“Our priority is to establish exactly what happened, find the people involved and remove any dangerous weapons from circulation. If you can assist us with our investigation, please get in touch as soon as possible.”
