10 kilos cannabis seized in Smethwick,couple charged

Two people have been charged with drug offences after approximately £200,000 worth of cannabis was found at a Black Country address.

Cops made the discovery on Reginald Road in Smethwick yesterday (December 30). 

Saimir Ruci, aged 34, of Reginald Road, and Anita Jacku, 27, have been charged with cultivation of cannabis and possession with intent to supply.

The pair are due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today.

Smethwick Police shared the news on Twitter after making the drugs bust. They said: “Today @smethwickWMP NHT and @cannabisteamWMP have executed a drugs warrant in the Smethwick area and recovered approx £200,000 worth of cannabis now not destined for the streets. Two persons in custody.”

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “It was Reginald Road, Smethwick. 

“Saimir Ruci, aged 34, of Reginald Road, and Anita Jacku, 27, have been charged with cultivation of cannabis and possession with intent to supply. They are due to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (December 31).”
