Serving officer charged with being drunk and disorderly in Leicester square

A serving police officer has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

PC Ed Kyme, who is attached to the Central West Basic Command Unit, was charged on Tuesday, 8 February.

He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 11 March.

The charge relates to an incident that occurred in Leicester Square on Monday, 7 February when he was off duty.

The Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed.

PC Kyme is currently suspended.
