Dame Dick’s last police raid for 100kg drug conspiracy

Dame Cressida Dick, Commissioner of the Met, walked solemnly behind officers as they theatrically kicked in a front door screaming “police!!” This is believed to be her final public relation press raid for the recently resigned Dick.

She joined more than 100 officers in the early hours of this morning as they executed warrants targeting serious and organised crime.

Four men were arrested for offences including conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and conspiracy to possess a firearm.

Detective Chief Inspector Driss Hayoukane QPM, of Specialist Crime, said: “The four men we arrested early this morning are very dangerous individuals who are engaged in organised criminality and drug dealing which drives violence across London.

“This is truly a whole Met effort with officers from various teams coming together to focus on the Met’s priority, tackling violence. The investigations aim to cut violence at the very source and we know serious violence in London has reduced and it is thanks to operations such as this.”

Officers attended briefings at 04:00hrs on Wednesday, 16 February and executed the warrants at six properties at 04:30hrs.

The four arrests are being treated as separate investigations targeting the wholesale supply of drugs, firearms and associated criminality.
