Agents of the National Police, in a joint operation with the British National Crime Agency (NCA), have intervened in several firearms and 15 kilograms of cocaine during the arrest of one of the most wanted British fugitives.
The fugitive, considered responsible for the murder of a young man in 2015 in the British city of Liverpool, was arrested when he was enrolled in a gym in the Malaga town of Coin. Along with the fugitive, three compatriots who were covering him to remain hidden in Malaga have been arrested and at the time of his arrest a weapon ready to open fire has been seized.
The arrested person had an international arrest warrant, for the crimes of murder and drug trafficking, issued by the British authorities who had gone so far as to launch several campaigns through the media, to find the whereabouts of the fugitive.
Thanks to advertising campaigns in the British media and the investigations of National Police officers, data were obtained that, after verification and analysis, made it possible to open a line of investigation that allowed the location and arrest of the fugitive included in the list of the most wanted.
A stealthy life and always extreme security measures
According to the investigators of the agents, the fugitive had taken up residence in a house in the Malaga town of Coín and lived together with several compatriots. The investigators were able to verify how the fugitive led a very stealthy life and that he only facilitated the entry into the home of his consorts, extreme security measures at all times to such an extent that he always carried a shoulder bag with him, which made the agents suspect that he was armed at all times even inside his home.
On May 5, investigators detected a displacement of the main investigator along with three compatriots, in the town of Coin, at which time the agents arrested the suspects when they were enrolled in a gym in a shopping center. The performance took those arrested by surprise, intervening in a shoulder bag with a ammunitioned and uninsured pistol, that is, ready to open fire, in addition to 350 euros in cash and sports shoes, among other effects.
Diligence of entry and registration in the house
After the arrests and the discovery of the firearm, the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 1 of Coin was requested for an order for entry and search at the home of those investigated. During the search, the investigators intervened three pistols, one of them machine gun, along with their magazines and abundant ammunition of different calibers, 15 kilograms of cocaine, 19 kilograms of hashish and 123 grams of marijuana buds.
In addition to an international arrest warrant for the person investigated, detainees have been arrested as allegedly responsible, as the case may be, for the crimes of deposits of weapons, ammunition and explosives, drug trafficking and falsification of documents. The competent judicial authority has ordered the imprisonment of all those arrested.
