Birmingham charged after haul of guns and cannabis in Great Barr raid

Police have charged a man after they found several guns at an address in Birmingham yesterday. 

They raided a property in Great Barr in the early hours of yesterday morning (18 May) and seized several weapons, including a shotgun and two handguns.

Dean Owen, aged 36, of Great Barr is accused of illegally possessing two revolvers, a shotgun, ammunition and other weapons. He has also been charged with producing cannabis. 

He appeared at Walsall Magistrates Court today (19 May) where he was remanded into custody. 

The guns were seized and will be forensically analysed to establish whether they are linked to any offences.
