Detectives investigating the murder of Lamar Jackson in Woodford Green have charged a man.
Laurie John-Phillip, 32 (28.09.89) of Enfield has been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article.
He appears at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 6 June.
Police were called at approximately 00:10hrs on Friday, 3 June to Chigwell Road in Woodford Green.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found Mr Jackson, who was aged 39 and from Hackney, suffering stab injuries.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers
Laurie John-Phillips was arrested on Saturday, 4 June on suspicion of murder and was subsequently charged as above.
