Bradford burglars shoot home with woman and child inside

Doorbell footage obtained by Scarcity shows the incident in the early hours of Wednesday when two men attempt to break into a property in Bradford.

During the break in the duo are disturbed by a woman who calls for help.

Suddenly one of the men opens fire in the direction of the woman and screams from children echo down the street.

The pair then discuss if they shot the woman before leaving the scene.

Damage to the door was visible the day after when a police cordon was in place.

We can now reveal that Detectives are investigating after a potential firearms discharge at a house on Christopher Court, Bradford.

Officers were called at 1:34 this morning (11 January) after reports that two men armed with a firearm approached a house and discharged the weapon.

 No one was injured.

 

A scene is currently in place to undergo forensic examination and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

 

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Holdsworth of West Yorkshire Police said:

“Clearly any firearms discharge will cause some concern in the local community, and I would like to reassure members of the public that we take all firearms incidents extremely seriously and we have extensive enquiries underway to identify those responsible.

 

“Neighbourhood Patrols have been stepped up in the area to provide reassurance.

 

“We would also urge anyone who witnesses anything suspicious in the area or with any other information that might help us in our ongoing investigation to get in contact.”
