A Burton mother has been charged with murder after an incident in which a man named as Oliver O Toole died.
They are in a relationship together and have a child with each other.
He was found dead at a house in Stapenhill, Burton, shortly after noon on Sunday, July 25.
Kayley Mahood, of Rosliston Road, Stapenhill, appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Tuesday, July.
She was remanded into custody ahead of an appearance at Stafford Crown Court on Thursday, July 29.
It comes after officers from Staffordshire Police were called to a residential address in Rosliston Road shortly after noon on Sunday, July 25.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Mr O’Toole was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family is being supported by specially trained officers, the spokesman added.
Oliver O’Toole I was able to learn was a Area champion Boer in the Midlands.
He was a talented fighter and won various contests since 2013.
He was a father and a brother and the death has devastated the community in the Staffordshire town.

Derby Teen murder
With several incidents locally one case has took the headlines this week in Derby.
The murder of Benjamin Orton who was 17.
Police officers are combing an alleyway in a Derbyshire town for evidence following the death of teenager Benjamin Orton at the weekend.
Forensics officers have been searching bushes in Wragg Passage, Swadlincote, where a 17-year-old boy was fatally injured on the evening of Saturday, June 12.
A forensics tent has been set up in the alleyway behind the town’s Odeon Cinema and a cordon is in place while the investigation.
A resident has today spoken about he is now worried about using the alley.
He said: “It was shocking to find out about the incident; it’s so worrying to hear about something like this happening so close to home.
“It’s also worrying as I use that alley on a daily basis with my family, including my daughter. It just seems like a normal alley in a quiet town, but it’s now the scene of what appears to be horrifying incident.
“I looked down the alley from Weston Street and could see about five forensic officers sifting around in the bushes which run the whole length of the alley.
“They had forensic suits on and were using tools to look through the bushes. They were wading into some of the bushes.
“It’s sad. It hits you quite hard. There’s clear emotion in the community and shock someone so young’s been killed.
“It’s shocking to happen to someone with so much still to do in their life.”
Derbyshire police say the teenager died at The Pipeworks retail park, of Coppice Side, Swadlincote, following an alleged assault, just before 10.40pm.
Ambulance crews were called to the scene, but were unable to save the boy. Further details about the nature of his injuries are not yet known.
Police, who have launched a murder probe, say they will have an increased presence in the area, but have not released any more details.
A spokesman said yesterday: “We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have been on Rink Drive, around the rear of the Odeon cinema or Morrison’s and noticed any people in the area, or have dashcam footage of your journey.
“Anyone in the area between around 10pm and 11pm last night, Saturday, June 12, who witnessed an assault, noticed suspicious activity, or with any information which could help with our inquiries should contact us.”
A 20-year-old man was also found with serious injuries and taken to hospital, where he was last night in a stable condition.
A post-mortem examination was carried out by Dr Stuart Hamilton at Leicester Royal Infirmary on June 13 where he confirmed Benjamin had died from “multiple stab wounds with the most significant injuring his heart and right lung”.
He also confirmed there was no underlying natural disease. He gave a cause of death as stab wounds.
Benjamin’s mother Amanda Taylor-Orton formally identified her son at the infirmary on June 14, the hearing was told.
The inquest has now been adjourned until July 30 for a review and to receive further information from the police.

A 16-year-old and a 17-year-old have since appeared in court charged with murder and attempted murder.
Another 17-year-old boy has been charged with assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice. The defendants are yet to enter pleas to the charges.
Benjamin was a former pupil at Pingle School in the town.
His grieving mum has paid a moving tribute to her son, saying how the family still felt shocked and “I keep expecting him to just walk back through the door”.
She said: “Benjamin was my beautiful, beautiful boy. He was so loving, intelligent, and sweet, but really funny and cheeky too. I always thought he could have been a comedian.
“Benjamin was very popular, and I’ve loved hearing stories from his friends of how they could talk to him about anything. He was a good listener and he was loved so much.”
