Two clubbers were shot inside a city centre bar in the early hours of this morning. West Midlands Police are hunting the gunman following the shocking attack at the Arcadian entertainment complex.
Police said both men suffered not life-threatening gunshot wounds after the shooting at the Portrait Bar, at 12.35am, today, Monday, December 18. They were taken to hospital for further treatment.
Police are examining CCTV and carrying out other inquiries to identify who was responsible and why. Police said they understand how “frightening and concerning” this would have been to other party-goers and have stepped up patrols in the area.
A Police spokesman said : “We’re investigating after gun shots were fired at a venue in the Arcadian, Birmingham city centre, earlier this morning (18 December). We received a number of calls to Portrait Bar just after 12.35am.
